ASIAN LETTUCE WRAPS
Asian lettuce wraps are bursting with flavor and delicious. Lettuce wraps are a great idea for a family meal or entertaining. Individuals at the table, build their own fresh, delicious, and with personal choices of ingredient wrap..Be sure to supply plenty of napkins and plates as this dish can be satisfying but messy at times. To serve, each person to spoons a portion of the meat and vegetables into a leaf of the lettuce. Then, each person wraps the lettuce around a helping of meat and vegetables, and voila, it’ a wrap. Butter lettuce is usually the best because of it’s “wrapping” ability, but Boston or Bibb lettuce could be used too.
Lettuce wraps are my favorites and from what others tell me, one of the most popular dishes at P.F. Chang’s, and one of my favorites. Lettuce wraps are so easy to create at home. The flavor of the chicken or beef mixture and eating it with lettuce instead of bread or rice is much healthier, and the flavor of the meat is not muted. A nice crunch is achieved with the addition of the water chestnuts.
You should be able to prepare this dish in less than twenty minutes. P.F. Chang’s serves lists this on their menu as an appetizer, but they are filling enough for a complete meal. This is one of the easiest, quickest meal you could ever make. And if you’re fast in the kitchen, you could probably get this on the dinner table in less than 15 minutes. (but why rush?) This meal is budget-friendly, and you can easily double the recipe for a bigger dinner party.
