Beef Stew, Made in a Slow Cooker
When I think of the ultimate comfort food, the absolute first thing I think about is homemade beef stew. Beef stew brings back memories of cozy suppers with my family and pleasing potluck dinner for a crowd. This is a staple in our family and we are thrilled to have left-overs, so we can have it again the next evening.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew Recipe
Two pounds chuck roast
One and 1/2 pound small round potatoes
Four medium carrots, sliced
One package onion soup mix
Six cups of water
Place all ingredients in slow cooker and set for 6 hours.
For Gravy, take one cup of juice from slow cooker when stew is done and add 2 tablespoons for flour and stir until well mixed. Pour over meat and vegetables and enjoy!!
