Do It Yourself Bookmarks inspire me to read more. Don’t you just hate when you are reading a book, and someone or something needs your immediate attention, so you stop, and suddenly you realize that you do not have a bookmark? Well, how would you like to try making a bookmark yourself? You can make all of these without pulling out the old needle and thread, thankfully, especially since that involves more poking than producing, in my case. The first is very simple, all you need is a bow tie and paper clip, if you don’t have a bowtie just use some scrap fabric! Just fasten the paper clip to the bowtie, and quickly, and easily, you have it done! Another, simple and very easy one involves a paper clip, and that spare or even scrap ribbon that you keep finding around the house, you know the one that is all over. Just tie it to it and you’re done! Simple and pretty too!
My absolute favorite DIY bookmark entails taking your very favorite recipe, and using it as the format for your project.
Here’s one I made recently. I laminated it after printing, and now I have a permanent reminder of my favorite recipe, and the recipe is now at my disposal at a moment’s notice. Same procedure, use your favorite pictures, family, pets, vacation place, and make it into a bookmark, laminate it and now you have a beautiful memory.
The last two are similar both made from paper.

These are all so very simple to make and you will be sure to love them! The DIY bookmarks make accompaniments to give along with a gift of a favorite book.
