Cupcake Frosting by piping icing on cupcakes is a lot easier than it sounds, with a little instruction, you can be a champ, and impress all your friends with very little effort. I took all 4 cake decorating classes at Michael’s Crafts http://michaels.com. They have the official Wilton decorating classes, and they are very informative and inexpensive. The store also carries the supplies that you need for the class, so you don’t have to go very far to have everything you need to create fabulous cakes and cupcakes. I used cookies to practice, and my husband ate the cookies as fast as I could decorate them, icing flowers, and all. If you have a Public grocery store in your area, they make the absolute best cakes, and they use the Wilton buttercream icing recipe (food below).
The very first class instructs you on how to decorate cakes, cookies, and cupcakes with buttercream icing. Buttercream icing is very easy to make and use, but if you want to cheat, and save the time and mess, you can purchase the very same buttercream icing in a large canister from any store that carries Wilton products.
