Mason Jar Solar Lights
Mason Jar Solar Lights remind me of when I was young, and my friends and I caught fireflies in a glass jar. Remember how pretty that looked? Wouldn’t you just love to see that again, and without trapping the poor little guys? Why not try any of these this simple and easy to make ideas to create very cute and creative lighting displays.
One idea for a do it yourself mason jar solar light is, to buy solar lights that fit a mason jar from your local home improvement store, craft shop or local garden store. The lights are very inexpensive and easy to install on your mason jar. Fill the jar with sand or pebbles (great colored sand or pebbles can be found in a pet store, in the fish department or any dollar store). You could even use crystal or glass stones (I found these at the Dollar Store). Now, you can add your favorite decorations, seashells, silk flowers, butterflies, dried flowers, or anything that makes you happy, most colorful and better. Now, wait until (after dark) evening and see the decorations light up!
Another suggestion is to buy a strand of warm white LED moonlights and a 16-ounce mason jar and combine them. After that, all it takes to pull this off is, to feed the light strand through the opening of the jar, and tape the battery to the bottom of the lid. Now you have a beautiful decoration for any occasion!
An another idea is to get tissue paper, dip it into watered down white glue, then paste it to the inside of the mason jar. Wait for it to dry completely, and then put the solar light lid on the jar. The possibilities are unlimited. I have even used a decorated napkin, separated down to one layer instead of the tissue paper.
