Paper Napkin Flowers
DIY Paper Napkin Flowers Decoration
Paper Napkin Flowers are a very creative and fun way to decorate your table. We understand you may not be a pro at folding tissues and napkins into pretty decors, but what if you could create those wonders with just a little help? Here is a five step cheat sheet to help you turn your dinner table into a beautiful layout, created to impress the guests, and yourself too.
You know it’s good to recycle, but you’re not quite sure what to do with the seemingly endless stacks of paper napkins you have on hand following your last dinner party or barbecue. Put those leftovers to use making one of these paper napkin DIY projects that are surprisingly sophisticated, given the material you are working. Believe it or not, you can use napkins to give tired pieces of furniture a very crafty (and very cheap) makeover, and no one will ever suspect your medium of choice. Decoupage an old dresser, dress up your boring office space, and cover up unsightly clutter, using napkins. It may sound crazy, but these projects are proof that you don’t need to get fancy to get inspired.
Step 1: First, choose a color theme for the dinner party tonight, color-coordination equals to a job half-done. Your colored napkins and tissues now need to be evenly cut into square pieces.
Step 2: Remember the fan folding trick from your childhood? Follow the same method and fold each square piece into a Chinese fan structure with rounded edges (fold the paper horizontally along an imaginary line, back and forth and cut the edge in a circular motion).
Step 3: Create as many individual fan-pieces you may require for your table decor. Holding the center of the fan-fold, flare up the edges into a floral look. Stick two-three fan-folds together from the middle and flare each one’s edges.
Step 4: Quite magically your tissue flower will be ready to add to the charm of the decoration. You can either hang them from a height or put in a vase or simply stick to the stand-alone menu cards.
Cover the point of joining (of the paper flowers) and you are all set to cast your creative spell on your guests.
